2 days from mud to slab and frame!?
It has been raining all week and especially bad on Wednesday! I'm not sure whether it is a good thing the slab went down on Thursday - Bit wet I would have thought? But I've been to the site yesterday (saturday) - they look ok!? Hopefully the slab will be ok and does not have any adverse effect in the long run.
Here are the pics taken yesterday.
Congratulations, on slab and frame start. Our frame was erected in pouring rain, nothing stops these guys. We had a 'preplaster independent inspection' and whilst no major issues, Carlisle did take care of defects inspector found. $ well spent for piece of mind and to keep SS on toes.
ReplyDeleteHey there JL... Another Carlisle build to watch. Fantastic pace already. Can't wait til we start. Can't be too far away!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! They do seem to construct really quickly eh? But I'm sure it will slow down once it gets into the details inside the house. Not to mention the christmas break!
ReplyDeleteDebra, who did you get for your inspection? We are thinking of getting New Homes Inspection to do it for us.. SS contacted you when they can come in to inspect? or do we schedule that ourselves?
Thanks!
JL
Yes, we used Kevin from New Homes Inspection - fantastic. He inspected for us with a previous build with lots of issues. With Carlisle it was a snap decision for peace of mind - called him in the morning and he inspected 5.00 p.m. partly because he knew us and Carlisle move so fast they were about to plaster. Kevin contacted the Construction Manager to inform him he was inspecting. After speaking to New Home Inspectons I would contact your CLE and SS to inform them you would like to organize an independent inspection. I think pre-plaster once rough plumbing and electrical is completed is good, we shall also have Kevin for Pre-Handover Inspection. Hope this helps and good luck.
