Slab and Frame up!

2 days from mud to slab and frame!?

It has been raining all week and especially bad on Wednesday! I'm not sure whether it is a good thing the slab went down on Thursday - Bit wet I would have thought? But I've been to the site yesterday (saturday) - they look ok!? Hopefully the slab will be ok and does not have any adverse effect in the long run.

Here are the pics taken yesterday.

No Slabs yet :(

After 2 weeks of raining.. I didn't even bother to check my build until yesterday (>10days) ... Still no slabs on-sight..

There are steel cables sitting on our neighbour's driveway (vacant land still) which I think its for my foundation however. Some soil movement and that's it. Bit disappointed but what can you do when rain just kept coming?

Forecasts for Melbourne is still NOT GOOD! Shower and Storm for the entire week days... :(

Maybe slabs will not go up this week afterall..

My land!

This is our piece of land just before settlement!

Adventure began 6 months ago

Just to keep you in the loop of how we got HERE!

Everything began in April 2010, when we decided to purchase a piece of land for ourselves and to construct a beautiful house in the future.

We had a look around few new housing estates in Victoria and found a piece of land which we really liked!

The piece of land was originally planned for release in July but eventually delayed until sometime October. It was few months of painful waiting - although it did gave us a few more months of extra savings :)

Land finally settled and I've it passed onto Carlisle Homes for exciting bits.

My first build blog!

Hi!

As we are currently just starting our construction(Site Scraped!).

I thought I might as well record this on a blog so it can be shared to every one who are interested!

This is our first home and we are very much excited about the whole process!

Thanks!
